Goldfields Railway Inc are looking for a Part Time Office Administrator, 3 days per week - Monday to Wednesday.

This is a sole charge position, so the applicant will need to be a self-starter and able to work without supervision, be efficient and flexible, able to multitask, use their initiative and work well in a railway working environment that is mainly operated by volunteers.

Role would be responsible for all administrative duties including working with the Society’s Treasurer managing debtors and creditors, payroll, GST PAYE, banking, reconciliations, ordering, reception and the like. Applicant would need to be computer literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, plus a knowledge of Xero Accounting Package would be advantageous, although training will be given to the suitable applicant.

A knowledge of the railway industry is an advantage.

Hours of work and remuneration will be discussed at the interview.

Applicants for this position must have NZ Residency or a valid NZ Work Permit.
